Meet Pierre-Auguste Renior. Pierre had a speaking part in the opening assembly and told about how he was the first impressionist painter and has arthritis. He tapes his paint brush to his hands and calls it "putting on his thumbs". He did a very nice job of speaking in front of everyone.
Meet an African lady. She speaks Bombara and is from Mali. She beats a pretty good rhythm on her drum. Her class had a mango tree in their room! After living history day we took a trip to the eye doctor. No need for glasses--yet. Amanda was glad for that.
We are taking a look at our adoption situation. They are now saying it is taking 36 months from your log in date (we are at 18 months) and it is getting longer. We have started a waiting child application and are doing some research. According to our family coordinator if you are willing to take a boy that might be a little older you can get a referral pretty quickly. That is a shift for me. . . and I am still trying to picture it. But we are open to whatever God has for us--even if it isn't what we originally thought, because we know his plans are much better for us than anything we can dream up on our own.
I am going to go help Amanda sew. . . that is the news from here!
