the adventure begins at home

So we started off from Sandpoint this morning, made a couple of stops one of which was at the bank. Whoops, the lights were left on and we had to ask our bankers to lend us a hand. Which they did gladly--that is one FULL service bank! We made it to Spokane with great theological discussions with Phil Kinzler. A "before" picture snapped and off to the ticket counter.

Where my mom's ticket was somehow considered refunded. At 12:00 for our 12:20 flight she finally got her boarding pass, we got through security, and into the line to board the plane. We made it with only a little rise in our blood pressure.

We got to Oakland where we took the BART to the SanFrancisco airport. We found lot's of friendly people willing to help us out including a young man (after hearing his voice it was determined) who was working at the A's game tonight wrapping hotdogs. He was talking about switching jobs with Craig until he found out Craig was a pastor. He was ok with Christians and even has some friends who are but didn't think our church was up to the challenge. BART was a complex system that we conquered only to ride around the airport trying to find out where we could get our shuttle to the hotel. After dinner, we hopped the shuttle, checked in, the kids went for a swim in the outdoor pool and we are off to bed soon.

Travel never goes as planned but we still ended up where we were supposed to. . . tomorrow off to Beijing!
