Luke had a restful night (except for the constant intrusion of nurses--someone needs to tell them that rest is healing and while I am at it--can't they take blood at the beginning of the pain medication instead of at the end?) He seems to be managing the pain with the medication pretty well. You can tell when it is almost time for more because he gets fussy and wants to be held. He also falls asleep as soon as the medication kicks in. He is drinking liquids well.
We are waiting to see Dr Peterson to give us the update from her perspective. From my perspective Luke is doing really well. He loves to cuddle and sleep on my lap, the swelling seems to be going down, he is alert and playing when he is feeling well. He has been glad to have his Dad, Ben and Amanda here today. Everyone is getting a turn on the bed with him!
We hope to get a good report from Dr. Peterson and maybe be home tomorrow.
From Amanda:
Hi. Luke is doing great. Its sort of funny beacuse luke's bed is bigger than mom's. And when I laid down I coverd up with Luke's blanket. when he came back from his walk he laid down with me, took the blanket, and said "No, mine."
